We have radiant floor heat in our basement (under tile) and our first floor (under wood). We love it so much that we're now in the process of doing our second floor as we replace the carpet with wood. There are now even sensors that can keep the floor warm constantly, without heating the room more than is comfortable. This was the problem with our tile floor, in that the air would warm to the setting we wanted for our bodies, then the tiles would be cold again for our feet. That will no longer be an issue with the sensors that keep the ambient temp and the floor temp just where you want each of them.
